PREV Spring 1934 Adjudication: NEXT

ACD233 / DC276: The Spring 1934 season has been adjudicated. It was a season in which many players made gains in one area, but these were compensated by losses in another. The most significant tactical advances were seen by Republican China in East Asia, where the Chinese took Manchukuo and are very well-positioned to take Korea in the fall, thus consolidating their position in East Asia. On the western Chinese front, the Soviet proletariat marched into East Turkestan, where that army is positioned to pin down a lot of units from Afghanistan to Gansu. On the Soviet western front, Murmansk and Hungary were lost to the western hordes, and the poor Polish peasants look likely to endure another season of heavy combat on their land in fall. Finishing with the Japanese, their losses in East Asia were compensated for by the capture of the Philippines and the sure reconquest of Nagasaki in fall.

The other players saw their SC count move in only one direction. In the Battle of the Atlantic, no American SCs have yet fallen, but the American capital is defenceless, and Ottawa looks vulnerable too. Adding to American woes is the British aircraft carrier is now moored in the previously-American Dutch West Indies. As noted before, the British and French unholy alliance continues to efficiently crush all in its path.

The deadline for Spring 1934 Retreat season is tomorrow night. Orders are needed from America, Japan, and the Soviets. The deadline for Fall 1934 will be Thu Nov 12th. Additionally, I will be on vacation in (British-owned) Argentina for two weeks at the end of November. This means that the subsequent deadline will be Thu Dec 3rd, after a 2 week hiatus.
