I know you've all been waiting for this with baited breath... but I did make it out to WDC for a round... It's always a good to experience a good old face to face game if you're used to playing email Dip since it's such a different game... One I certainly do not excel at.  I played Italy and got stabbed twice by Austria leaving me pretty much dead, but ultimately salvaged a 4-dot draw out of it working w Austria in the end.  I know in email Dip you often plan "I'll do this for you now if you'll do this for me later" multi-year type deals... but in FTF you don't have time to think the current turn out let alone several turns deep.  Deals typically arent binding 5 minutes from when you made them and certainly don't span multiple turns.  Something I defintely am not used to!  Still it was fun and great to meet some of the players, so thanks to Jim for nudging me to come out!
