Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Hey Cristiano, I think any good variant set between say 500 and 1789 would lend itself well to Diplomacy Royale. Papacy rules though perhaps not for the entire time-span.

I myself am however not all that convinced that the Crusades variant is all that polished.
