I'm retreating A Novi Sad - Pecs

And really, I have the second highest SC total, it's purely insulting not to include me in the draw, thanks Mike!

[/quote:52eec8bf8d][/quote:52eec8bf8d]Founded by Greek settlers from Syracuse in 387 BC, Ancona has been a
battlefield throughout its existence. Through Rome, the barbarians,
the Byzantines, and the papacy, Ancona has been a fortress, sending
forth great armies and fleets (in the Illyrian War, the Crusades, and
its maritime years), and unfortunately receiving them back in exchange
(the barbarians, the papacy, and Napoleon).

So Ancona finds itself on the receiving end of invading forces here -
as Greeks, Italians, and Austrians all fight over what was until
recently a Serbian territory. Good to see my variant functions as
intended, but whew! Smile In other news, Rome remains intact, though
the attempted invasion of Ancona is repulsed by Austrian and Greek
forces. Serbia rises from the brink of extinction to reclaim Sarajevo
and end the year even in SCs once again, despite all odds. Austria
continues their tenacious defense, and would even be building this
season, except that they have nowhere available to place the build.
The Ottomans are not so lucky, losing control of Salonika and Ankara
to fall to a single SC in Izmir remaining.
