Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Used to be called the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal. Its
construction was strategically important as it allowed the easy deployment of
the German High Seas Fleet.

Nowadays known as the Nordseekanal.
