"He was warned of the consequences, I am simply following through with a promise . . . Or am I to allow the stab to work and simply let him take my centers?"
Is there a third option available? Because those two options either don't exist or don't make sense. It was a one-center stab by an isolated unit that gained Joe a total of two builds this winter while you're getting three. So right now you, the second biggest power, are threatening to throw the game to punish a stab that did you no damage made by a power that poses you no threat.

Hey, I never ever said I was quitting
or was interested in having another
play for me, no way! I am dedicated to the game and making
certain a stab
on me (by a supposed close ally) will not be rewarded. He
was warned of the
consequences, I am simply following through with a promise.
And what is
wrong with such a ploy? You stab someone, you better make
damned sure it
will not backfire. Or am I to allow the stab to work and
simply let him
take my centers? That isn't right either now is it?

If someone is tired if playing I am sure that they can trade
places with
the Wizard King and they can enjoy that challenge. The WK
would gladly take
a power and teach them how to survive (for a bit anyway)
when all looks
grim.
A solo is impossible on this board if you truly use
Diplomacy guys. Trust
me if it were possible to solo as the Knights i would have
done so in the
last Haven game!
Come on! Be ye mice or Pirates? Savvy?
Wizard King (in hiding until that spell kicks in. Now where
was that
staff...)

Welcome back to the show, ladies and gentlemen. We're
in the first hour
of our telethon for a cause that I know is near and dear to
all your
hearts: Throwing the game to the Knights!
Let's take a look at the tote board and see how the
contributions are
coming along. Look at that! 21 centers! Not bad at all, but
still not even
halfway to our goal of 52. We need to get those phones
ringing!
Wait, there's a phone call now. Who's on the line,
Shirley? Why it's Tom
from the Pirate Shoals! And he's calling in with a
contribution of . . .
his last remaining measly 13 centers! How generous!
You see, folks? Even when you're on the brink of
poverty, beset on all
sides by hardships and calamities, you can still dig deep
and--What's that?
He just looked under the cushions and found 3 more centers
he grabbed last
year? And he's donating those too? Amazing! But I guess when
you only have
16 centers to your name, there's not much else you can do
with them.
So let's update the tote board. Tympani please . . . 37
centers! Only 15
more to go! C'mon, people! Get on the phone. The Pirates
can't do this all
themselves!
Now I'd like to welcome the Undead Choir of
Necronomicon to the stage!
What? What do you mean they're not here? We sent a limo!
