So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Hi Larry,

thanks for your interest in my variant. I wish I could point you to an available opening, but the current 1648 game being played here (a tournament finals) is already long underway.

I suppose that game was still being advertised here somewhere? Looks like our admin removed it, yes?

Anyway, if you want to be alerted to future 1648 , drop me a mail so I can add you to my list of potential players (cfeaux at gmail point com).

Hello all. I've just signed up and unclear as to whether my request to join 1648 got through. I pressed the join button
once, but got no response. I logged in again and pressed "join" anew and received a default message indicating that as a new member to Diplomaticcorp, I could
automatically join only once until I had completed one game. Please advise...where am I...who am I...is this Earth?
