Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Owing to popular demand we're now expanding the first stage of the 1648 tournament to three separate boards. So 27 instead of just 18 players will be involved.

And you might be one of them! Sign up in the open games section.

Note that the final distribution of players among the three boards will be subject to power preferences and the goal of minimising player familiarity in any one given game.
